ISES UK Director of Education to Address US Event Buyers

November 2012, UK: James Morgan, Director of Education, ISES UK Chapter, has been invited to share ISES UK’s research on the UK event industry’s supply chain during London 2012 with attendees of The Special Event in Chicago, January 2013. The Special Event is the world’s largest trade exhibition and educational conference for US and internationally based event professionals.

Morgan has spearheaded research around the event industry’s supply chain during London 2012, the Cultural Olympiad and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The findings of the research “Mega Events and the Supply Chain: Lessons Learned from London 2012”, sponsored by Crewsaders, will be presented as part of the Event Management track at The Special Event Conference, running from the 15th – 17th January 2013.

Organisers of The Special Event invited Morgan to speak at the premier international event following the tremendous feedback from the first part of the research project presented to UK event professionals in January 2012.

“Industry research remains a key member benefit for ISES members and contributes to the UK’s thought leadership in the global events industry. We’re delighted with the response to the research we commissioned, expertly developed by Crewsaders” comments Philip Atkins, President of ISES UK Chapter.

“I’m a big fan of The Special Event, its excellent for networking and education and is a brilliant event for ISES members,” commented Morgan. “To be asked to share the our research findings that have a bearing on the organisation of other mega-events around the world, is a credit to all the event professionals in the UK that contributed their time and opinions to provide an insight into a little researched topic”
