ibtm america Announces Theme for Inaugural New Show Format: “Connections Mean Everything”

Education Centered “Knowledge Forum” Set to Deliver Top-Notch Business Insights

The newly designed ibtm america has sharpened its focus on face-to-face business connections with this year’s show theme “Connections Mean Everything” in Chicago from 9-11 June.

This year’s “Discovery Day” (formerly “Education Day”) will kick off the Knowledge Forum with a keynote session sponsored by PCMA around the show’s theme.

Directly following this, there will be two sets of three congruent sessions brought to you by PCMA, Site and the ibtm events team. The first set of sessions will include a breakout around tools for planner productivity titled “Big Data Part 1” as well as an industry engagement option “Shared Economy” from PCMA. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn how to put meetings design into practice with the session on “Audiovisual Technologies and Adult Learning in Meetings” led by speaker Michael Owen from EventGenuity, LLC. The next set will see more sessions around industry engagement from Site. Returning presenter and attendee-favorite James Spellos will lead the last option “Way Cool Tech Tools”.

Keynoting on day two this year is Debbie Mayo-Smith. A best-selling author and globally recognised leading business productivity expert, Debbie will speak on how to improve profits and communication through the use of email, smartphone and other software.

Meetings Mean Business will be keynoting the Inspiration Lunch on day two of the show. The coalition is dedicated to showcasing the value that business meetings bring to the US economy.

To enhance productivity and informal connection making, the “ConnectZone” will bring additional education offerings for attendees and exhibitors to experience during their breaks. A hybrid of last year’s Innovation and Refresh Zones, the ConnectZone (brought to you in partnership with the Meeting Pool) revisits some of AIBTM 2014’s popular attractions such as the Innovation Spotlight Stage, sponsored by Certain Software, and the TECHbar.

New this year will be the WellnessNexus, a showcase of the latest and emerging trends in personal and professional wellness, as well as the ImageDeck, where attendees can enrich their personal and professional appearances via image consultants, beauty experts and a professional headshot lounge. Attendees will also be able to participate in some charitable activity, as “Dress For Success” will be on-hand accepting clothing donations. The not-for-profit organisation promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women by providing them with professional attire.

“Our focus this year for the ConnectZone twofold: we want our attendees to feel productive, even during their appointment breaks, but to also have fun and relax” says Jaime McAuley, ibtm america’s Event Director. “The ConnectZone allows for learning about the most recent technology innovations, and gives people a chance to better their wellness and productivity. We’ll have experts on hand in a variety of topics on hand to teach planners and exhibitors about emerging trends and techniques they can apply not only to their personal, but their professional lives as well.”

ibtm america takes place from June 9-11, 2015 in Chicago. To apply to be a Hosted Buyer or participate as an exhibitor, please visit www.ibtmamerica.com

Die IMEX-Touren: maßgeschneidert und themenorientiert

Frankfurt, 22. Mai auf der IMEX, the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events, in Frankfurt statt.

London gets set to welcome a fairy-tale summer and tourism boom
Tickets go on sale in spectacular fashion for Shrek’s Adventure! London opening this July

The much anticipated new visitor attraction from Merlin Entertainments PLC in collaboration with DreamWorks has launched its tickets sales today in the form of an ogre-sized Gingerbread House Ticket Office on London’s South Bank.

The edible Ticket Office, made from 700 real gingerbread biscuit tiles and 100kg of icing will be selling the first tickets for Shrek’s Adventure! London – a brand new Shrek adventure, complete with a cast of fairy tale characters, themed shows and sets, 4D bus ride, dramatic special effects and new DreamWorks animation.

The summertime opening of this family attraction is set to further strengthen London’s tourism offering and encourage more international and domestic visitors to the capital. Last year, London’s visitor attractions experienced continued growth with a 7.11% increase on the previous year, and the 2014 full year international visitor figures due out next month are on course to top a record breaking 2013, which welcomed 16.8 million international visitors to London.

Gordon Innes, CEO London & Partners said, “London’s world class visitor attractions have been helping drive a big increase in tourists coming to the capital from all over the world – putting the city on course for its most successful and exciting tourism year yet.

We are confident that the addition of Shrek’s Adventure! London along with a vibrant and diverse calendar of summer events will further boost London’s visitor economy as the capital continues to go from strength to strength.”

Summer highlights across London include the third annual Prudential RideLondon (1-2 August), a two-day cycling festival for families, amateurs elite cyclists alike, as well as the new Sunset Safari experience at ZSL London Zoo (5 June – 17 July) which gives visitors the chance to unwind in the company of over 750 species after hours.

This year, for the first time ever at the Summer Opening of Buckingham Palace, displays throughout the State Rooms will recreate the settings for state visits, receptions, garden parties, investitures and private audiences (1 August 2015 – 27 September). Elsewhere at the National Portrait Gallery, Audrey Hepburn fans can explore the celebrated film star’s fascinating life and career through the Portraits of an Icon exhibition (2 July – 18 October).

There will be plenty of creativity to be discovered among the 170 education sessions at IMEX in Frankfurt from 19 to 21 May.

Creative Learning and a wide variety of innovative General Education sessions will be the focus of two of 10 different tracks brought together at the new Inspiration Hub on the show floor.

The comprehensive range of education strands will also include Business Skills, Marketing and Communication, Risk Management and Compliance, Technology & Social Media and Trends & Research, along with Diversity and Sustainability. A new dedicated Health and Wellbeing track will cover concepts such as mindfulness at events, the importance of good posture and staying healthy while travelling. Among the other initiatives are new early morning deep dive sessions on Business Networking and Building Confidence.

The key feature of the Creative Learning strand is the new Creative Thursday. The last day of the show will feature at least 12 original sessions on thought-provoking subjects such as developing emotional connections in corporate events, why the experience matters and using science to design with confidence. The sessions on ‘Five Ways to Boost Creativity and Innovation …or Kill it’ and ‘Why Chocolate Comes in So Many Different Flavors’ will be particularly engaging and different as they will be presented in a ‘creative play’ format.

On Tuesday and Wednesday there will also be at least 6 creative learning sessions each day including ‘3½ Ways to Effectively Manage People’ and ‘What Makes a 3 Michelin Star Experience?’

The extensive General Education programme will cover topics ranging from reputation and relationship management, public speaking, meeting ROI and face to face communication in the digital age.

The session on ‘Navigating the Corporate Meetings and Incentive Industry as a Young Professional’ is one of many that are designated for each of two levels of experience, Young Professional and Senior Professional. The German sessions also remain extensive with over 30 sessions planned. Overall the Inspiration Hub will use a variety of learning styles and areas including seminar rooms, campfires, the research pod, hot topic tables and meet the expert.

Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group says: “The General Education and Creative Learning tracks and, in particular, Creative Thursday sessions are sure to inspire and reward those who take part in these highly original sessions. They are exciting new additions to our already wide ranging education programme which adds an important dimension to IMEX.”

Aquila Yachts on Display at Singapore Yacht Show

Clearwater, FL (April 17, 2015) – Sino Eagle Yacht Company is proud to announce their participation in the 2015 Singapore Yacht Show. This is the second year that the yacht builder will be attending the show, displaying one of their newest luxury power catamarans, the Aquila 48.

Aquila Yachts represents the newest and most exciting yacht evolution on the market today offering practicality and luxury with trend setting innovation, quality and custom designs for international markets. With strong international sales in Singapore, Australia, China, New Caledonia, Cyprus, British Virgin Islands, Canada and the United States, Aquila is quickly becoming a premier choice for luxury yacht buyers around the world.

Aquila’s global growth and success can be attributed to their exceptional foresight in predicting market specific needs with customization options for worldwide consumers. Specifically, this month they are introducing the Aquila 48 Lan Kwai Fong Special Edition to the Asian market.

This yacht has been designed to appeal to the Asian buyer and answers cultural desires for their yachting lifestyle. Aptly named Lan Kwai Fong, this special edition of the Aquila 48 delivers the energetic nightlife the name depicts. The main entertaining deck includes numerous seating areas, a karaoke machine, sound system and multiple flat screen televisions. A catering galley is located in the port hull, an intimate salon in the starboard hull and two resting cabins occupy the forward areas in the lower deck. The oversized flybridge with evening lighting features, seating and a superb sound system allows the party to continue outside under the stars.

“We are very excited to return to this distinguished Yacht Show again this year. The Singapore Yacht Show has a distinct focus on the prominent, high profile superyachts that are the most glamorous motor yachts in the world. Our luxury customization designs create an unparalleled luxury power catamaran for international consumers, making our yachts a natural fit for the show attendee’s discerning tastes” said Frank Xiong, CEO of Sino Eagle Group.

Construction of Aquila power catamarans began in 2012 through a partnership between Sino Eagle Group and MarineMax, the world’s largest power boat retailer. Then through collaboration with development, design and manufacturing firms including J&J Design Group and Seaway, the team set out to develop a new, purebred power cat unlike anything in the marketplace today.

This evolution in power catamarans, a fusion of European, American and Asian innovation includes 38’, 44’ and 48’ models bringing an entirely new perspective to the private ownership and charter markets, and is quickly becoming the choice of the world’s leading Marine charter and boating lifestyle companies.

Aquila Yachts will be on display throughout the show at berth B07.
