Scott Eames appointed Director Global Sales North America for Pacific World

Pacific World, (www.pacificworld.com), the leading global DMC and Event Management announces today the addition of Scott Eames to their Global Sales organization. Scott will be based in New York and confirms their increased investment in relationships with clients in the North America market.

“In response to an increase in demand for Pacific World expertise for global outbound events Scott is an important addition to the international sales team in delivering events in over 35 destinations.” Says Selina Chavry.

Scott Eames is a veteran hospitality professional with over 21 years of experience in the meetings and events arena.  Early on in his career, Scott’s focus was in the tradeshow and association event markets, eventually working his way into the Strategic Meetings Management space where he excelled at designing and supporting Fortune 500 client programs in streamlining and consolidating meeting and events operations.

Prior to joining PW, Scott served in a number of senior sales positions, including Global Sales Director in Allied PRA and Director of Business Development – Strategic Sales in Carlson Wagonlit Travel Meetings & Events, focusing on large global and multinational Fortune 200 firms.  In these positions, Scott consulted with numerous leading pharmaceutical, financial and technology organizations, which required an understanding of each client’s culture, needs and goals.

Scott is a member of the FICP, SITE including board membership of the Northeast Chapter of SITE, Meeting Professionals International, the Global Business Travel Association, Professional Convention Management Association, and In addition, Eames earned his NBTA – Accomplished Certification in Strategic Meetings Management (SMMC).

Scott will work alongside Ruby Serra to expand our reach to the important North America market.

Pacific World (www.pacificworld.com) the integrated global DMC and Event Management organisation, which operates in 30 countries, announced today extension of its leadership with the appointment of Selina Chavry as Global Managing Director, based in Singapore.

Concurrently, Pacific World announces a new phase of development into Latin America, North Europe, the Mediterranean, India and China in the coming months, together with investment in the Event management space globally.

Selina Chavry, was previously Regional Director, Asia for Pacific World. Over the past 15 years, she developed her career in the Business Events industry in London, Sydney and Singapore. She has a track record of building market leadership through innovation in the Events, DMC and Strategic Meetings Management areas in various parts of the world.

In parallel, Herve Joseph-Antoine takes the role of Chairman for Pacific World and expands his responsibilities within Pacific World parent company Hotelbeds Group as Regional Managing Director Asia Pacific, Destination Management.

Pacific World expands into the Philippines

Increasing support in the leading emerging destination in Asia

Februray 2015 – Pacific World (www.pacificworld.com), the integrated global DMC and Event Management organisation, announced today the opening of a new partnership in the Philippines. With this expansion, Pacific World now operates in 30 countries and over 100 destinations around the world and has the widest and most comprehensive presence of any DMC business in Asia.

Pacific World Philippines is a commercial partnership between Pacific World and leading local DMC, Blue Horizon Travel & Tours, Inc. Both companies have joined hands to combine Pacific World’s global experience and standards with Blue Horizon’s local expertise and knowledge in order to provide clients with expert services supported by local experience in the destination. Pacific World Philippines will operate from a central office in Makati, Metro Manila, and also has operational support from offices located in Cebu, Boracay and Bohol.

PACIFIC WORLD BRINGS REACTABLE AND GOOGLE GLASS TO EIBTM

PACIFIC WORLD BRINGS REACTABLE AND GOOGLE GLASS TO EIBTM
Pacific World (www.pacificworld.com), the integrated global DMC and Event Management organisation, are set to showcase some leading technology tools that could be integrated into different kind of events, meetings and incentives, at their stand (K36) whilst exhibiting at EIBTM 2014, which takes place from 18-20 November in the Fira Gran Via, Barcelona.

They will be running three interactive sessions at their booth in Barcelona, including a Reactable demonstration that will take place on Tuesday 18 from 17.00 – 18.00 and two sessions with Google Glass, on Wednesday 19 from 16.00 – 18.00 and Thursday 20 from 10.00 – 14.30.

Reactable is an electronic musical instrument with a multi-touch tabletop interface. Patricia Silvio, Global Marketing Manager, Pacific World commented, “Reactable is a trendy tool that until now has been used for alternative and electronic music festivals. This creative technology is now jumping over into the corporate world, thanks to the potential it has to reinforce branding and corporate culture during an event.”

Silvio explains, “Clients will be able to try and discover a bit more about how Google Glass can be integrated in an event through live demonstrations at our stand. Some examples of how to integrate Google Glass into an event includes run a contest during a conference where attendees participate through taking their own photos and videos and uploading them directly from Google Glass to platforms including our Facebook fan page or Instagram account.”
