UK Hosted Buyers boosted by 25th EIBTM

New initiatives including flexible flights and more departure points have driven an increase in requests for Hosted Buyer places at this year’s 25th EIBTM, with over 700 UK meetings industry professionals expected to attend.

Hosted Buyers will be able to focus on tailored streams of education dedicated to their professional status, including the Association, Agency, Business Travel and Corporate sessions. More than 60 educational streams are available over the 3 days of the show, and with complimentary flights, 4/5* accommodation and transfers, plus networking events, this year’s UK Hosted Buyer participation is expected to be the biggest to date. EIBTM (, the global event for the meetings, incentives and business travel industry has announced that Trade Visitor registration for the 25th edition is now open. Visitors are encouraged to sign up early and plan ahead to make the most of the enhanced business, education and networking opportunities available as part of the 25th birthday celebrations.

This year’s EIBTM is expected to attract over 15,200 meetings industry professionals to the show attending from over 150 countries. New to the show this year and to mark the 25th birthday of the show, EIBTM will be offering “The EIBTM Forum”, an education-led event which will be taking place the day before the show opens, at 4:30pm on Monday 26th November in Barcelona city centre. The EIBTM Forum will provide inspirational and provocative content, which will set the scene for three days of business that follow on the show floor.

During the show there will also be over 60 tailored sessions delivered as part of the EIBTM 25 education programme including technology, sustainability and business travel education streams, as well as dedicated sessions tailored for the local Spanish market. Post show research following last year’s EIBTM ( confirmed that 57% of international Hosted Buyers who attended, indicated that they organise Business Travel. As a direct result, EIBTM 25 will extend the show profile beyond the meetings and events industry this year to incorporate business travel with a specialist exhibitor pavilion on the show floor and a stream of dedicated education sessions provided by the Association for Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE).

The new Business Travel Pavilion at EIBTM will provide a dedicated meeting area for exhibitors to showcase their products to visitors and Hosted Buyers with a responsibility and proven budgets for corporate and business travel, plus there will be bite-size education sessions within the same area that will be free to attend.
