ISES UK CHAPTER APPOINT MEMBERSHIP MANAGER

November, UK: ISES UK Chapter has appointedNicole Hatch to the newly created role of Membership Manager. The role has been created to ensure members of the chapter gain maximum benefit from their membership, and existing corporate members continue to encourage staff to engage with ISES.

Hatch, already Director of Programmes for ISES UK Chapter, and co-owner of SLR (sound, light rental), will pick up the new role for the 2012-13 term. She will also lead on the development and delivery of a new Silver level Corporate Membership offering two corporate memberships and event packages for smaller businesses.

“This is an important move from the chapter and underlines our commitment to delivering the best value and experience to our members,” comments Philip Atkins, President, ISES UK Chapter. “Nicole has been a proactive member of ISES, a passionate advocate of the chapter, and is the perfect candidate to help members get the most out of their relationship with ISES.”

“The Corporate Silver Membership is an excellent innovation that lets smaller businesses get more of their staff involved in ISES and is a great place to start in my ambition to get more members and non-members involved with ISES,” comments Hatch. “I’m delighted to be leading on the role, it’s a great move for our membership.”

ISES UK Director of Education to Address US Event Buyers

November 2012, UK: James Morgan, Director of Education, ISES UK Chapter, has been invited to share ISES UK’s research on the UK event industry’s supply chain during London 2012 with attendees of The Special Event in Chicago, January 2013. The Special Event is the world’s largest trade exhibition and educational conference for US and internationally based event professionals.

Morgan has spearheaded research around the event industry’s supply chain during London 2012, the Cultural Olympiad and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The findings of the research “Mega Events and the Supply Chain: Lessons Learned from London 2012”, sponsored by Crewsaders, will be presented as part of the Event Management track at The Special Event Conference, running from the 15th – 17th January 2013.

Organisers of The Special Event invited Morgan to speak at the premier international event following the tremendous feedback from the first part of the research project presented to UK event professionals in January 2012.

“Industry research remains a key member benefit for ISES members and contributes to the UK’s thought leadership in the global events industry. We’re delighted with the response to the research we commissioned, expertly developed by Crewsaders” comments Philip Atkins, President of ISES UK Chapter.

ISES Worldwide to Meet in London – Association embraces global community during Olympics –

London, 25th July 2012
ISES UK Chapter and The Retreat at The Brewery have partnered to bring members of ISES from around the world together during the Olympic Games.

With ‘the greatest show on earth’ arriving in London later this week, and bringing with it the very best in creative event professionals, ISES isexpecting hundreds of its international membership to attend the Games.

These members will have a special opportunity to meet as a community and share experiences and learning’s from the Games through a special event at The Retreat, the exclusive Members Club running at The Brewery throughout the Games. Organiser’s are also anticipating a special guest experience from former Olympic medal winner.

“This is a major benefit for our members and a celebration of the part ISES plays in the lives of creative event professionals,” comments Philip Atkins, President ISES UK Chapter. “We’re looking forward to welcoming our colleagues around the world in this historic time for our industry.”

The event will take place 8th August 2012, and will be free to members of ISES UK Chapter. Non-members are also welcome to attend with a 20% discount on normalticket prices.
