Latest ICVB Visitors Guide Out Now

LONDON (15 June 2015) – Istanbul Convention & Visitors Bureau (ICVB) has published its Istanbul Visitors Guide aiming to offer a different experience for visitors to the city. The guide contains sections on history, entertainment, accommodation, shopping, eating, drinking and the arts for a city that last year welcomed close to 12 million tourists. It is designed to appeal to both congress delegates and general visitors as an indispensable guide to Istanbul.

This detailed guide to Istanbul showcases the city’s must-see historical sites, museums and events as well as its history, entertainment, accommodation, shopping, eating, drinking and the arts. The most widely circulated guide to Istanbul, it offers visitors to the city a wide range of alternatives on how to spend their time there.

The newly-designed Istanbul Visitors Guide, with a circulation of more than 100,000, is also available as a user-friendly mobile application and will be distributed at trade fairs around the world, ICVB member hotels and high-profile congresses thereby reaching readers both in Istanbul and around the world.

ICVB’s General Manager Ozgul Ozkan Yavuz says of the mobile application: “We have launched our new Istanbul Visitors Guide with a user-friendly mobile application which is the first of its kind. In a guidebook format it brings together a world of information in digital offering a whole new experience to readers. Prepared in a downloadable format, the guide can be used without an internet connection. We have added a QR code to it allowing users to browse ferry times, get information about events in the city from such websites as and find directions from their current location in Istanbul or to be directed on to relevant websites. The Istanbul Visitors Guide is available as a colourful application with audio, video and moving images and a QR code marking it as an alternative media channel providing much more choice for travellers.

Istanbul Convention & Visitors Bureau Showcases the City’s Pulse at ACE of MICE

LONDON (24 February 2015)Turkey’s only MICE industry fair and Istanbul Convention Bureau’s (ICVB) industry partner, the ACE of MICE Exhibition, will be held at the Istanbul Congress Centre on 26-28 February gathering sector professionals from Turkey and around the world.

At the fair expected to attract more than 13,000 visitors, ICVB will promote Istanbul’s congress, conference, fair and exhibition facilities and incentives via one-to-one meetings with international sector professionals over the three days.

Goal to make Istanbul first choice for MICE…
ICVB’s General Manager Ozgul Ozkan Yavuz says: “We at ICVB are striving to make Istanbul the first go-to destination in international congress tourism and continue to work towards the city increasing its market share of the international MICE scene. To that end as an industry partner of the ACE of MICE Exhibition, which promotes the whole of Turkey, we look forward to a successful fair for both visitors and exhibitors. The ACE of MICE Exhibition, established to created awareness of the MICE sector, is being held for the second time this year with exhibitors from 25 countries and will include the ‘ACE of MICE Congress, Meeting and Event Awards’ on 27 February at the Halic Congress Centre.

Istanbul Convention & Visitors Bureau Appoints Redmint as PR Agency for number of European countries

LONDON (19 January 2015) – The Istanbul Convention & Visitors Bureau (ICVB) has appointed Redmint Communications as its public relations agency for the UK, France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

Redmint Communications will be promoting, publicising and strengthening Istanbul’s brand image as a leading congress and meetings destination via an effective and meaningful PR strategy in the UK, France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
