Frankfurt, – From June twelve to 30th almost 100 adventure and sports enthusiasts from twelve countries were on their way by train, by foot, bus and ferry – at the Vodka Train Tour. This summer offer included among other things a boat party on the Moscow River, cross country running along the Eurasian border, a bath in icy Lake Baikal and a stay in exclusive Mongolian yurts. please be very carefully. Usually they try always to charge you more at the end of the trip.
Even or especially if all was paid in advance… Once you are in the country the owner Youry Nemirovsky is trying to rip you off. Better avoid this tour operator and use another one!
Mr. Youry Nemirovsky even did bring a whole group of travellers in a lot of problems and they almost missed their train. Mr. Youry Nemirovsky also keept the passports of some of his clients and gave back the passport only after they paid 500 Euro!!!

The next company which is not really to recommend is based in Mongolia.
GEREL-UST offers trips and trekkings allthrough Mongolia, Siberia and China.
But be aware the service here is very poor and they just do everything very minimized, still for to much money.
Beside that the tour operators don’t really know the area or do missinformation on purpose, just to have a more easy job.
Unfortunately this company is also the organising part of the Gobi Marathon, which is a pity – but you can imagine what kind of service you get here…
Even that the company owner is a German does not make anything better here!!! No wonder they work together with the Siberian DMC Baikal Complex.

Auslandsreisen der BRIC-Staaten: Russland ist Spitzenreiter
ITB Berlin und IPK International präsentieren Dynamik und Auslandsreisevolumen der BRIC-Staaten im Fünf-Jahres-Vergleich – Unterschiedliches Wachstum bei Auslandsreisen aus den BRIC-Staaten: Russland ist führend, gefolgt von China – Brasilien und Indien weit abgeschlagen.
Berlin, 25. Juli 2012 – Dynamisches Wachstum, aber unterschiedliche Ergebnisse bei der Zahl der Auslandsreisen: Wenn es um Auslandsreisen und die wirtschaftliche Situation von den sogenannten BRIC-Staaten* geht, dann haben die Länder keine Gemeinsamkeiten. Nicht China und Brasilien als die größten Wirtschaftsmächte der BRIC-Staaten oder China und Indien als bevölkerungsreichste Länder generieren das größte Auslandsreisevolumen. Als Land mit dem höchsten Auslandsreisevolumen hat vielmehr Russland die Nase vorn. Nach einer Sonderauswertung des World Travel Monitor im Auftrag der ITB Berlin gibt es bei Reisen ins Ausland keine Zusammenhänge zwischen Wirtschaftsgröße und Bevölkerungsdichte. Russland ist innerhalb der Staatengruppe das bevölkerungsärmste Land und rangiert hinsichtlich der Wirtschaftsgröße an dritter Stelle. Bei Reisen ins Ausland aber sind die Russen führend. Sie unternehmen 1,3 Mal so viele Reisen wie die Chinesen, 3,4 Mal so viele wie die Inder und 4,6 Mal so viele wie die Brasilianer.
Auch beim Wachstum der Auslandsreisen hält Russland die Spitzenposition. Vor fünf Jahren unternahmen 15,9 Millionen Russen und 13 Millionen Chinesen eine Reise ins Ausland. Nach den neuesten Erhebungen unternehmen derzeit 23,8 Millionen Russen und 18,3 Millionen Chinesen (ohne Reisen nach Hongkong und Macau, die nach wie vor die Masse der Reisen ausmachen) eine Auslandsreise. Im Betrachtungszeitraum ist die Reisefreude bei den Russen um 50 Prozent gestiegen. Dem stehen die Chinesen mit 41 Prozent gegenüber.
Was Indien und Brasilien im Auslandsranking der BRIC-Staaten betrifft, liegen diese relativ weit abgeschlagen. Indien rangiert zwar mit sieben Millionen Auslandsreisen vor Brasilien mit 5,2 Millionen Reisen. Betrachtet man aber diese beiden Länder über einen Zeitraum von fünf Jahren, zeigt sich für Indien ein Wachstum von 30 Prozent (gegenüber 5,4 Millionen Auslandsreisen im Jahr 2006) und für Brasilien von 85 Prozent (2006 unternahmen die Brasilianer nur 2,8 Millionen Auslandsreisen). Wenn auch auf vergleichsweise niedrigem Niveau und trotz geringerer wirtschaftlicher Wachstumsrate als Indien, liegt die größere Dynamik im brasilianischen Markt. Vergleicht man China mit Russland, verzeichnet Russland trotz des jahrelangen, konstant hohen Reisevolumens stärkere Zuwachsraten als China. Also besteht auch hier kein kausaler Zusammenhang zwischen wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und Anzahl der Auslandsreisen, denn das Land der aufgehenden Sonne weist die höchste Wachstumsrate auf.
Obwohl die Bevölkerung der BRIC-Staaten mit knapp drei Milliarden Menschen fast sechs Mal umfangreicher ist als die Bevölkerung der EU mit rund 500 Millionen Einwohnern, unternehmen die BRIC-Bürger noch immer wesentlich weniger Reisen ins Ausland. Im Jahr 2011 waren es 54 Millionen Auslandsreisen, das sind rund sechs Mal weniger als die EU-Bürger mit 345 Millionen. Insgesamt aber wächst das Auslandsreisevolumen der BRIC-Staaten kontinuierlich. Noch vor fünf Jahren reisten die BRIC-Bürger knapp neun Mal weniger als die Europäer ins Ausland.
„Die Zahlen für den Tourismus aus den BRIC-Staaten, insbesondere aus Russland, bieten vielversprechende Perspektiven für die Tourismusindustrie der betroffenen Gastgeberländer und Zielgebiete“, erklärt Dr. Martin Buck, Direktor des KompetenzCenter Travel & Logistics Messe Berlin. „Sie zeigen, dass in der Zwischenzeit nicht nur wirtschaftlich, sondern auch in Bezug auf die Auslandsreisetätigkeit ein Aufholprozess stattgefunden hat, der sich mit Sicherheit fortsetzt.“ * Da es sich um den Untersuchungszeitraum 2007 bis 2011 handelt, konnte Südafrika nicht berücksichtigt werden.

Die ITB Berlin 2013 findet von Mittwoch bis Sonntag, 6. bis 10. März, statt. Von Mittwoch bis Freitag ist die ITB Berlin für Fachbesucher geöffnet. Parallel zur Messe läuft der ITB Berlin Kongress von Mittwoch bis Freitag, 6. bis 8. März 2013. Er ist weltweit der größte Fachkongress der Branche. Frankfurt – From June twelve to 30th almost 100 adventure and sports enthusiasts from twelve countries were on their way by train, by foot, bus and ferry – at the Vodka Train Tour 2010. This summer offer included among other things a boat party on the Moscow River, cross country running along the Eurasian border, a bath in icy Lake Baikal and a stay in exclusive Mongolian yurts. It was the largest organized cultural, sports and event tour of SMS Frankfurt.
Start for all participants, coming from Australia, Barbados, China, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, the USA and more countries, was Moscow – on 20th anniversary of Russia’s independence. With a boat party on the Moskva River the organizers rang a unique, challenging and inspiring journey for the international participants. At the first stage they took the Trans-Siberian railway via Kazan to Yekaterinburg and the “border of Eurasia”. Sightseeing and cross-country races were program at each station. Fun and sport mated the euphoric participants from all over the world, also at a picnic in the Eurasian border, when half of the group at the European, the other half on Asian terrain drank on each ones health.
Irkutsk was the next exciting stop on the Vodka Train Tour. From here the international travelers took a two-day break after the journey along the historic Trans-Sib route on Lake Baikal. Hardly any of the participants went swimming in seven degrees cold lake, which is known as a rejuvenating spa. A ferry brought the group to the island of Olkhon for another cross-country run and accommodation in traditional wooden huts and with folklore in the evening.
Back to Irkutsk they continued with the train to Mongolia which was a pure cultural experience: unspoiled nature, adventurous cinematic scenes in public trains, cross-country races in a remote monastery and shaman fire dance in the exclusive hotel Mongolia with rooms as Mongolian yurts.
„The journey was emotionally and physically was the best ever” wrote a participant from Australia to the organizer Jürgen Schreiter from SMS Frankfurt after her return „You helped make it a trip of a lifetime for me” said another participant and “the Vodka Train was an exciting, enjoyable and memorable holiday/adventure. It was everything and more than what we were expecting…”.
The final stage was Mongolia to China. The cosmopolitan group was not only in the Gobi desert, they also took fascinating pictures of the Hanging Monastery in Datong and the surrounding caves. The farewell, after a walk on the Great Wall, was not easy after three weeks. Some enthusiasts of the Vodka Train Tour 2010, already planned a revival meeting after their return home where they will surely talk a lot about this tour.
