IMEX Academy Award – Europe
Gordana Plamenac, the director of the National Tourism Organization of Serbia received prestigious IMEX Academy Award for Europe 2012 for her outstanding contribution to meeting industry. Plamenac progressed over the years to become Managing Director of the National Tourism Organization of Serbia and was instrumental in establishing the Serbian Convention Bureau. This award improves Serbia’s visibility and the image of an attractive MICE destination.

Serbia Destination will be exhibiting at the BTC Italy’s events exhibition fair which will take place from 21-22 June in Rimini, Italy. The BTC is the marketplace where the MICE organizers meet with a wide range of industry suppliers. Visit Serbia stand to learn about the latest updates from meeting and incentive industry in Serbia.

Serbia’s capital, Belgrade, now ranks 26th among the approximately 200 convention destinations listed for Europe with 46 international congresses in 2011, having 13 more events than in the previous year.
